My taste in music is quite eclectic. My iPod contains everything from Of Mice and Men to Jason Aldeen to Casting Crowns to The Weeknd...and everything in between. Song lyrics and music feeds my muse like nothing else, with the exception of Nothing More and Jonny Hawkins’ abs...hmmm) and anything FooFighters.
We DVR or stream everything. I don't want to be distracted by commercials while watching shenanigans on Survivor, or the Rookie. There are a plethora of fun series on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel such as Haley Dean and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. Roku is an awesome place to watch everything.
Disneyland really is the happiest place on Earth, at least it used to be before the Endemic began.
I believe Twitter is where Individuality and Creativity go to die. "But Elise, it's a great place to make connections." I disagree. I've made stronger and lasting friendships on other platforms. Young Twitter was a fun place before it devolved into a clique-y online forum where spewing negative, malicious vomit and cancelling people became the norm. Life is better without all that negativity.
My Man and I don't have normal conversations. We speak in 80s movie quotes. For example, if he's driving too close to another car and I point it out, he'll respond with, "Rubbins racin', son." (Days of Thunder) Or, if I ask for money and he hands me the coins from his pocket, I'll ask, "Seven cents, Vern?" (Stand By Me) Our script is endless.
We watch football in our house, specifically The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Las Vegas Raiders (though the NFL has lost my favor).
My Man is my world.
